All students from Faculty of Informatics (IF) at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) have the opportunity to choose an academic advisor and research mentor, and attend free tutor consultations.
An academic Advisor assists students in the choice of modules, advises on study activities and academic subjects, and directs them to the appropriate lecturer if needed.
A research mentor assists in starting a research activity, writing articles, attending conferences and advise on related issues.
A tutor is a lecturer or a volunteer student who helps to deepen the knowledge of a particular subject and improve academic skills.
The Faculty of Informatics currently has 21 academic advisors and 9 research mentors. Tutors also provide subjects on Mathematics, Theory of Probability and Statistics, Object Oriented Programming and Information Technology several times per week.
