Elderly people are quite vulnerable to a variety of chronic illnesses or other medical conditions resulting from age, poor lifestyle, or poor living environment. Therefore, risk prevention and assessment methods are needed to prevent health state deterioration, helping the individual or his / her medical staff to assess potential health and life hazards, as well as advising how to avoid these adverse situations. One of the possible solutions is the use of Explainable Artificial Intelligence to evaluate and predict (model) a person’s behaviour and environment that influences changes in health condition, as well as to determine the various cause-effect relationships, that are not seen by human directly. The aim of the project is to propose a systematic model of explainable artificial intelligence and related algorithms for decision support systems used by geriatric providers or patients themselves.
