The project and the realization of the idea were also supported by the Commander of the Lithuanian Air Force.
Goal – to present historical Lithuanian aircraft designed and built in independent interwar Lithuania (1919–1939), along with several other historical vehicles. The application features six historical aircraft (ANBO I, ANBO IV, ANBO VII, DOBI I, DOBI II, DOBI III), the legendary aircraft Lituanica, and the first Lithuanian tank Slibinas.
Using this application, users can place these vehicles on the ground and examine them in detail. Some of the vehicles are interactive – users can start an aircraft engine or simulate shooting. All vehicles can be scaled from their original size to a 1:16 ratio. The application also allows users to take photos featuring people alongside the historical vehicles and share them on social networks. The program is available for both Android and iOS devices.
This virtual reality game is part of the Vytautas the Great War Museum exhibition “Fighting Through the Ages – Winning Freedom.” The exhibition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and highlights its significance to Lithuania.
