On May 12th, 2026, the Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) became a vibrant hub for scientific exchange as it hosted the 31st International Conference on Information Society and University Studies (IVUS 2026). This long-standing annual event continues a tradition that began in 1995 and is organized through a collaborative partnership among Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas University of Technology, and the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University.
Platform for the Next Generation of Scientists
IVUS 2026 was specifically designed to provide a stage for Master’s and PhD students, as well as young scientists at the start of their professional journeys. The conference focused on fostering new scientific opportunities and encouraging the sharing of original research across a wide array of Information and Software Technologies.
To ensure broad accessibility, the organizers implemented a blended format, allowing for both traditional in-person presentations at the KTU EDU_Lab and remote participation for international attendees.
Insights from Faculty Leadership
The significance of hosting the event at KTU was highlighted by Prof. Daina Gudonienė, Vice-Dean for Research at the Faculty of Informatics. Reflecting on the event’s success, she noted:
Trends and Insights in Modern Computing
