Try student-created games and choose your favourite

KTU Faculty of Informatics invites the faculty community to immerse themselves in virtual adventures and vote in the student game competition.

From September 7th to 13th, everyone can try out the games created by students and vote for their favourite. The winners will be announced on September 15th during the IT Specialists Day celebration. This year’s exhibition presents a wide variety of projects – from action and horror games to strategy, educational solutions and puzzles.

Action and survival genre fans will be able to try “No Time to Reload” (try out) – an FPS roguelike game, in which the player’s success is determined by the ability to adapt and constantly change weapons. There is also no shortage of tension in “Whispers from Kalligon” (try out), a first-person psychological horror game that invites you to explore a town shrouded in mysteries and strange phenomena.

For those looking for strategic thinking challenges, “Astrum Nexus” (try out) is a strong option. In this space colony management game, you will have to take care not only of resources and the well-being of the population, but also of complex political issues. Meanwhile, “Meal Quest” (try out) offers an unconventional approach to roguelite games and education – the diet chosen by players here directly affects combat abilities, and the effect of vitamins is based on real knowledge of the human body.

Game "Fred's House"

Fans of unexpected ideas can expect “Roll or Die Trying” (try out), where each step is determined by the roll of the dice, and the cooperative “Fred’s House” (try out), inviting you to defend yourself against waves of enemies together. The game “Pheromone Protocol” (try out) allows you to manage an ant colony, the activities of which are based on a system of pheromone trails, and success is determined by the ability to effectively organise the search for resources and the expansion of the colony.

Creativity and logical thinking will be tested in “Masking Tape” (try out), where players must recreate drawings using coloured adhesive tape, and in platformers and fans of the “Celeste” game, “Time to Get Away” (try out), distinguished by its original multi-window mechanics.

Participating in the competition can open the door to a wider community of game developers. The four best-performing game developers will win the opportunity to participate in one of the largest Lithuanian game conferences, “GameOn”, taking place on October 23–25.

We invite all members of the KTU Faculty of Informatics community to actively participate in the exhibition, try out games created by students, and cast their votes in the evaluation of the best projects. Voting has already started and will continue until September 13th at 23:59.
